Rachel Keller is a fictional character from The Ring film series. The character created by Rachel Keller was created by Ehren Kruger. Naomi Watts plays the character. Rachel must look into the death of Samara Morgan the son of her in The Ring Two. Ruth Rachel's sister asks Rachel to investigate the enigmatic circumstances surrounding Katie's sudden death. Rachel reveals to Rachel that she discovered her daughter's disfigured corpse in the closet, and the reason for her death was a heart attack in spite of Katie being healthy and healthy as a teenager. Katie's family members tell Rachel about the legend behind the cursed videotape and that Becca, Katie's friend, was taken to a hospital after seeing Katie's death. Katie's boyfriend, along with two of her closest friendsall perished in bizarre accidents that took place on the same night at 10:30 PM. Rachel is taken to Shelter Mountain Inn, where she stays in Cabin 12. This cabin is the one in which Katie and her companions saw the tape that had been cursed. Rachel is able to locate the tape and when it's finished it is ringing. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel looks to Noah Clay, her ex-boyfriend and a video analyst , for help. Rachel is later informed that Aidan (her son who is with Noah) watched the tape, and told her that he believed what she said. Rachel investigates the tape to find the exact location of the lighthouse. It was located on Moesko Island. Anna Morgan who was cursed as a horse breeder appeared on the tape. After further investigation, Rachel discovers Anna had an adopted daughter, named Samara, who possessed the ability to create disturbing images in the minds of individuals, animals and objects. Rachel confronts Anna's widower Richard. He makes Rachel leave the scene as soon as she begins asking questions regarding Samara.
