Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. Bell is a Michigan native, born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan, to the family of a Polish mother and father who has a mix of German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen found her talent in entertainment as a young stage of her life. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell was accepted by her mother as an agent when she was only thirteen years old. Then, she was chosen for the newspaper advertisements and TV commercials. As well as learning in private classes in acting, she launched her career around that time. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell took part in the drama and music club at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy character. Bell was a student of music theatre in the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell dropped out of her studies in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky, a character from Tom Sawyer. The same year, she made her first credited debut in Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and she was only seen in the credit sequence. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
