Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her roles as the protagonist in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. In addition to her films roles that she's appeared on, including "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack was born to owners of an ice cream parlor as well as a psychologist who worked in a clinic. The family is not in any connection to entertainment. Her acting career started when she was 12 years old when she was a part of a stage production of 'Amahl and The Night Visitors, the Christmas-themed opera. At the beginning of her professional career, she was only twelve when she appeared on stage in the opera "Amahl's Night People". She continued performing in theatres, and eventually landed roles both on the small screen and on the large screen. McCormack today is acknowledged as the most well-known and most versatile performers. McCormack is married to producer/director Michael Morris and has three children.
